Phuket Pocket Guide

Phuket Pocket Guide offers general information about Phuket and detailed information about the different cities, towns and Phuket beach areas. The information is divided into the following categories: accommodation, activities, eat and drink, health and beauty, shopping, nightlife and travel.

Itis also the only Phuket magazine that really concentrates on boosting the brand awareness and recognition of Phuket businesses by using your business logo and contact information throughout the magazine as much as possible, and not just on your advertising space.

Games, sponsored or just for fun, are placed throughout the magazine to keep our readers/users entertained on the beach, next to the swimming pool, on a visa run, etc...

Our main target group is tourists visiting Phuket, but the magazine is well known and widely read by locals and expats as well.

65% of our Phuket Pocket Guide is distributed in the lobby's / libraries / rooms of hotels and guesthouses.
30% is distributed in restaurants, pubs, bars, massage parlours, hospitals, dentists, etc...
5% is distributed on events like the Comedy Club in the Holiday Inn, the Soccer 7s, Cricket 6s and other events of which we are a Media Sponsor.

Concept and Layout

The magazine starts with general information about Phuket which is divided into the following categories: accommodation, activities, eat & drink, health & beauty, shopping, nightlife and travel

The general information about Phuket is followed by different guides, based on the following cities, towns and Phuket beach areas: Phuket City, Patong, Karon, Kata, Kata Noi, Chalong, Rawai, Nai Harn, Kamala, Surin and Bang Tao

Each guide starts with a detailed map of the area, followed by a small introduction and then more detailed information divided into the same categories.
Example: a review or an advertising space for a restaurant in Patong will go into the Eat & Drink category in the Patong City Guide.

Phuket Maps

Our detailed Phuket street maps are updated on a per edition basis and contain the locations of most major hotels and resorts, government buildings and offices, post offices, bus stops, shopping malls and markets, places to visit and the location of all our advertisers.

What's On Phuket - Phuket Events and Promotions

Find out where to eat, drink, party, shop or relax, never miss a good party or live music, an 'All You Can Eat BBQ', a Phuket festival, a sporting event or a Live Stand-Up Comedy Night.

The Phuket events and Phuket promotions are divided per area in daily, weekly and monthly event listings. Your business logo is used with every event or promotion you organise in order to boost brand awareness and maximize business recognition.

Advertising Possibilities

You can advertise your business or event on a quarter page, a half page, a full page, a double page, the inside covers or the back cover. You can also list your business with contact information in the appropriate category or promote your events in the event listings.Contracts are available for 6 or 12 consecutive months.

You can choose between a business listing, a review (text) or an advertising space (graphics). Listings, reviews and advertising spaces are put into the appropriate categories of the city guides depending on the location and type of business.

1. Business Listing

Business listings are included in all contracts. In case of a review, the lisitng will go on top of the review. In case of an advertising space, the listing will appear as in the example above, with a reference to the page number on which the advertising is displayed.

2. Quarter Page

Reviews or advertising space is available on a quarter page. Since the area of the advertising is relatively small, we put the contact information in a business listing as mentioned above. That way you don't lose precious advertising space to promote your venue, service or event.

3. Half Page

Reviews or advertising spaces are available on a half page. The contact information and map reference (location of the business or event) is placed on the bottom of the page.

4. Full Page - Back Cover

Advertising is available on a full page. The contact information and map reference (location of the business or event) is placed on the bottom of the page. Advertising is also possible on the back cover (if available).

5. Double Page - Inside Covers

Advertising is available on a double page. The contact information and map reference (location of the business or event) is placed on the bottom of the pages. The front and back inside covers can be used to advertise your business or event as well (if available).

6. Game Sponsorship

Originally, 'advergaming' is an immersive mix of advertising and entertainment that takes the form of video games. It's been around since at least the early 1980s when Kool-aid and Pepsi developed Atari 2600 games that featured their products and distributed the games cartridges as promotions. Since then, major companies have used games to promote their products and services.

On the internet, advertising is put into a game. In our Phuket Pocket Guide, a game is put into the advertising.

Games are placed inside your advertising in order to attract our readers/users and entice them to remain on your advertising longer as usual. The longer someone spends time on your advertising, the longer your company’s message or events is in front of them. This interaction leads to much better retention of your product, message or event your advertising is trying to get across to our readers/users.

As an additional bonus, you can reward those who solve your game with a prize = use a voucher as a Tracking Tool.

7. Event Listings

Phuket events and promotions are divided by area in daily, weekly and monthly listings. Your business logo is used with every event or promotion you organise in order to maximize business recognition and brand awareness.

Categories are: Live Music, Happy Hours, Food Specials, Sporting Events, Festivals, DJ Performances, Charities and Other

Event Listings
List as many events as you like. Please note that it is not the intention to list complete menu's as a food promotion. If you do different daily specials during the week, we will consider to list them separately in the weekly listings. If the same promotion happens on a daily basis, it will be listed only once in the daily listings.

Notes

Phuket Pocket Guide is 10.5cm x 14.8cm and is printed in Bangkok on 105gsm ArtPaper. The cover pages are printed on 210gsm ArtCard and are finished with a UV/1 Matt. It is finished in a perfect binding.

Artwork is included in the advertising rates and can be changed on a per edition basis, as long as the artwork is used in our Phuket Pocket Guide. The design of logo's and artwork that will be used in other publications will be charged accordingly.
